Guitar

Controlling the recording studio equipment

I love my Guitars. I have several: Solid Body, Semi Hollow and Acoustic-6 strings and 12 strings…I love these instruments as they make me feel really good and I admire them. I know these are just objects but they allow me to express my musical feelings so beautifully. Some of these guitars are in the Recording Studio, on a stage, waiting patiently to be played on. Others I keep in various places of the house, so anywhere I am I can pick up an instrument and play…”sketch” a new song…enjoy the beauty that music is.

My Gibson Les Paul Studio (1996)

In 1996 I bought a Gibson Les Paul, Studio. All Black with gold plated pickups and hardware. You should see me at that time, so excited when I bought it. I did not know much about details of electric guitars… but I just loved the shape. hahaha It was stunning. And still is. The sound of the guitar is amazing. But through the years of use a couple of frets show surface wear and tear. For my Blues songs though it is an unbelievable instrument to play on and it sounds amazing.

My PRS Guitars

Recently I have discovered PRS Guitars…I got two Santana signature SE, single cut in Egyptian Gold and a Double Cut in yellow Maple veneer. What a wonderful duo of instruments they are. Pickups create a superb sound. Specially on a double cut. For a last Christmas, in the midst of a pandemic my wonderful wife got me the 35th anniversary PRS SE Custom 24…wow! …this is a great instrument, on which I create most of my songs now. This guitar inspires me. The quality of PRS guitars is incredible. But the design, for a designer in me… I must say really very good, a true art form.

My Gretsch and Ibanez Guitars

In my collection I have a super nice Ibanez Acoustic Guitar. It is fantastic with its unique sound. It was interesting about 10 years ago, in the store, there were two of these, one sounded great and the other no so great. So I got the one that sounded great and here we are. Always wanted to have a Semi Hollow electric Guitar and Gretsch in wine red nicely hang in the store. I got it and it sounds super nice. I use it for jazzy sounds and this deeper expression of 1920s style music.

My other Guitars

In the collection I got a couple of guitars that I do not use much like a 12 string Yamaha and a Schecter solid body, embossed with abalone inlays all over, recessed dials, etc…a gem. I have attached to it a Rolland Synth and it gets tuned to an open G for some special guitar work…

These are my instruments, you will see some of them in my videos.
